We’re Hiring Seasonal Firefighters!

Our District is looking for qualified applicants to fill nine (9) Seasonal Firefighter positions. This position responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service and augments staffing of engine companies. The Seasonal Firefighter will participate in training as well as perform routine apparatus, equipment, and station maintenance.

Applicants must submit a complete application packet no later than 12:00 p.m. (PST) on Monday, April 20, 2026.
A complete application packet includes a District application, cover letter, and resume. Current District members will submit a cover letter and resume in lieu of a District application.
Applications may be submitted directly to the District or via email. Faxed applications will NOT be accepted.

Volunteer Firefighter

Applegate Fire District is seeking committed community members to serve as volunteer firefighters. As a volunteer, you’ll receive comprehensive training, including Firefighter I Academy, wildland firefighting, EMS, and driver training—at no cost to you.

Water Specialist

Applegate Fire District is seeking motivated Water Supply Specialists to join our ranks and play a vital role in protecting our rural community nestled in the scenic Applegate Valley.

As a Water Supply Specialist, you’ll be a key player in emergency response—setting up and managing critical water supply sites that keep our firefighting operations flowing. Whether it’s drafting from rural water sources or supporting tender shuttle operations, your efforts ensure firefighters have the resources they need when seconds count.
